Brief Summary

Innovate for Impact - E-Summit 2026 (Zonals) was a high-energy, 6-hour pressure-driven ideation and buildathon jointly organized by IIIT-Delhi and the Coding Club RVCE at RV College of Engineering, Bangalore. Held on 7th February 2026, the event brought together participants to brainstorm, design, and pitch impactful, viable solutions to real-world problems under time constraints. Serving as the zonal round for E-Summit 2026, the event was designed to foster an innovation-first mindset and bridge the gap between ideation, feasibility, and market validation

Theme

The event centered on addressing a wide variety of problem statements spanning across technology, sustainability, social impact, and business innovation. Participants engaged in theme selection and problem definition, utilizing structured ideation frameworks such as the Value Proposition Canvas (VPC) and Business Model Canvas (BMC) to ensure their proposed solutions maintained technical feasibility, financial viability, and proper market differentiation.

Number of Participants and From Which Year

The buildathon saw active participation from 170 students who formed teams ranging from individual innovators up to groups of 5 members. The target audience for the event was highly inclusive, opening its doors to students from all academic domains—including engineering, management, design, sciences, and interdisciplinary backgrounds—and spanning across all years of study.

Prize Pool if Applicable & Winners

The winning team from this zonal round received a Zonal Prize of ₹10,000. Along with this immediate prize, the winners earned the eligibility to advance and compete for the larger ₹2,00,000 Grand Finale prize pool at the national level during the E-Summit 2026 Grand Finale.

Judging / Evaluation if Applicable

Teams were evaluated under strict time constraints by a panel of judges who simulated real startup and innovation environments. The evaluation was based on a structured Google Form blueprint and pitch deck submissions, with specific judging criteria focusing on problem relevance, innovation and originality, feasibility and scalability, market understanding, and the clarity and articulation of the final pitch.
