Brief Summary

The Web Development Bootcamp 2026 was organized by the Coding Club at RV College of Engineering from 13th March 2026 to 8th May 2026 at the RVCE Campus. The bootcamp provided a hands-on and interactive learning experience focused on modern web development and MERN stack technologies. Students were introduced to Git & GitHub, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM Manipulation, Async JavaScript, React, MongoDB, Node.js, Express.js, Docker and Deployment, along with hosting using Vercel. The programme combined technical sessions with practical learning and weekly projects, allowing students to apply the concepts covered during the sessions.

Theme

The theme of the programme was Web Development and MERN Stack Development. The bootcamp focused on building a strong foundation in web development and gradually progressing towards full-stack application development. Students gained practical exposure to frontend technologies, JavaScript, React, backend development, databases, version control, Docker and deployment. The programme also encouraged problem-solving, collaboration and innovation through hands-on activities and project-based learning.

Number of Participants and From Which Year

The bootcamp had 160 participants, all of whom were first-year students from different branches of RV College of Engineering. The programme was designed to provide beginners with an accessible introduction to web development while allowing students to develop practical skills through continuous learning and project work. Participants worked with their peers and mentors throughout the programme, creating a collaborative learning environment.

Prize Pool if Applicable & Winners

No specific prize pool or winners were associated with the bootcamp. The programme was focused primarily on learning, skill development and practical project implementation rather than a competitive prize-based format.

Judging / Evaluation if Applicable

As part of the bootcamp, weekly projects were assigned to the participants based on the concepts and technologies covered during the sessions. These projects provided students with an opportunity to implement their learning through practical development work. The projects were evaluated through PRs (Pull Requests) and comments, allowing students to receive feedback on their implementations and improve their code and development practices. This continuous evaluation helped participants track their progress and strengthen their understanding of web development and MERN stack concepts.

Pics

The event included photographs of the technical sessions, participating students, classroom activities, group photographs and the official Web Development Bootcamp poster. The pictures capture the active participation of students throughout the programme and showcase the interactive nature of the sessions. The photographs also include an Introduction to React session and group photographs featuring the participants and organizers.
